The westward movement has been the trend all day. This track makes it appear like landfall could be at the Big Bend area sometime on Thursday as a category 1 storm.
The Tampa Bay area is still in the cone of uncertainty. Remember tracks change so continue to prep for the worst and hope for the best.

Until then, it’s quite literally the calm before the storm. This weekend’s weather in Florida will be great so the good news is there’s plenty of time to take some precautions to prepare for the high winds, flooding and power outages that Ian could bring.
