You’re Actually Hurting That Person
The 7:15 Second Date Update this morning turned into a political debate after a kind hearted gesture from Jamie. Aaron and Jamie went to The Brick House in Tampa which went well. However on the way home Jamie tried to do something nice but Aaron said “You’re actually hurting that person”. When it comes to the homeless community Aaron has very strong feelings about giving money to someone.
Following their date at The Brick House Aaron was driving Jamie home when they stopped at a red light. Jamie noticed what appeared to be a homeless man on the corner. She rolled her window down and gave him $2o. This is a great gesture on her part in our minds however Aaron saw it as a disservice. Along with supporting bad habits Aaron feels giving money to the homeless is a scam. In addition to it being a scam he told us “You’re actually hurting that person” that you give money to.
Finally, he even broke down the math of what a homeless person’s income might be. Obviously he has thought about this quite a bit.
