Cigar City Brewing fires Pat Maroon, but why? You know Pat Maroon, member of the Tampa Bay Lightning and just all around good guy. Well, he has teamed up with Tampa's Cigar City Brewing for a new commercial.

Even professional hockey players need a job in the off-season because Pat Maroon seems to love helping out at the brewery. Pat uses his hockey skills to package the cans of beer in the case by using a hockey stick.

The video opens with the owners if Cigar City talking about Pat wondering if he is going to work out. It then shows Pat wanting to drop the gloves with a customer that told him that he poured the wrong beer.

He is also seen body checking an employee and then stealing a beer while it is on the assembly line. Afterwards, he builds a goal made out of cardboard beer cases.

Finally, Cigar City Brewing Company fires Pat Maroon, but it's all in good fun. Thankfully, Pat didn't quit his day job with the Lightning because he is an important piece of the Bolts to get to and win another Stanley Cup.

Pat and the Bolts start the 2022-23 hockey season on Tuesday, October 11th against the New York Rangers. It's a rematch of the Eastern Conference Final from last season.
