“I’m Not Putting My Son in that Situation”
This was a complicated 7:15 Second Date Update because Miranda made a call based on her son. She was adamant about saying “I’m not putting my son in that situation” and my dating life comes second. First, we were contacted by Colin this morning about his date with Miranda. They met on Hinge and decided to grab dinner at Beachwood in Oldsmar.
Colin felt like their date started right where their online conversation left off. Unlike some first dates that can be awkward Miranda was very easy to talk to and a great match in his mind. Obviously we asked him if there was any topics that might have come up that could have offended her. He said absolutely not and they actually had alot in common. They both are parents, love the outdoors, and working professionals.
Despite Miranda enjoying their date and complementing Colin on being a great guy she had concerns. Her main concern is with where Colin works. Colin is a school counselor at her son’s Junior High. She felt like this may be a little too close to home and told him “I’m not putting my son in that situation.” However Colin saw it as a plus for Miranda’s son. “I can keep an eye on him and be there if he needs anything” is Colin’s point of view.
