Intense Childhood Event Inspired Noah To Become A First Responder

Childhood Experience Inspires Amy’s Son

Amy P.

Noah is the first responder we are honoring for First Responder Friday this week. He had an intense childhood event happen, which inspired Noah to become a first responder.

Noah is a police officer for two different departments. He has wanted to be a police officer since he was about five years old.

He had an intense childhood event, which inspired Noah to become a first responder. Amy tells us, "He ended up saving somebody's life once when he was 18. We were driving and we saw a really bad car accident and he pulled over and ran into action like he knew exactly what to do, what he was doing. Gave CPR, assessed the scene, helped everybody until the paramedics showed up. And they were just in awe we they showed up."

Noah worked for the fire department for a little while, but being a police officer was his true calling.

Congrats to Noah as he receives a $100 Visa gift card from Crown Buick GMC . He also gets another $100 Visa gift card from Demesmin & Dover Law Firm.

Every Friday we honor a first responder in Tampa Bay. Do you have someone in your life that is a first responder? Someone that you admire, a relative, a friend? Whoever it is that you want to spotlight. We want to hear from you, and you can nominate someone right now by doing so HERE. The nomination process takes about five minutes. Once you nominate someone we will be in touch with you to schedule a call with you.

The Foods That You Should Never Get Delivered

Getting food delivered to your house is commonplace these days. Still, there are are foods that you should never get delivered.

A new list has come out and a chef has given their opinion about the foods that you should not get delivered.

French Fries

"Cramming fries into a cardboard box is the surest way to sap out all of their once-glorious crispiness."

Omelets and Egg Dishes

"Order them for delivery and you risk ending up with a sticky, yolky mess no one wants to clean up or a sad, dry scramble."

Nachos

"But even the sturdiest chips can't withstand the weight of salsa, sour cream, or beans during transit. The only texture you'll be left with is mush."

Smoothies

"By the time your green or pink drink makes it to your house, it could be warm, separated, or just plain unappetizing."

Ice Cream

"There's no way to avoid some melting during transit. Plus, unless you're ordering for a big group, paying a delivery fee to satisfy your ice-cream craving is hard to justify."

Food With Breaded Coating

"From katsu to mozzarella sticks, anything coated in bread crumbs and deep-fried is likely to lose its appealing crunchy exterior during transit."

Grilled Cheese

"All of that gooey goodness is likely to seize up between the grill and your kitchen table if you have it delivered."

Noodle Soups

"Unless you know the broth will be packed separately from the noodles, you may end up with very bloated pasta and not much broth left."

Salmon

"Even if the chef nails the temperature at the restaurant, residual heat trapped in the storage container can overcook your beautiful protein."

Sandwiches With Creamy Fillings

"Leave chicken, egg, or tuna salad on a fluffy deli roll for 10 to 20 minutes, and be prepared for that filling to fall right though a totally soggy roll."
