Jo Dee Messina Stars In Cole Swindell’s New Video
Cole Swindell has a new song out and it is called “She Had Me At Heads Carolina”. The song is a reimagined version of “Heads Carolina, Tails California” by JoDee Messina. Jo Dee Messina stars in Cole Swindell’s new video for his song and it goes along with a great song.
The music video was filmed at a Downtown Nashville bar in Printer’s Alley. When Cole shared a clip of the video it shows JoDee playing a bartender and Cole sitting at the bar. Cole wrote on the teaser video, “When your bartender is the inspiration behind your new song/music video…”

Cole’s Version Is Setting Records
Cole’s “She Had Me At Heads Carolina” is his fastest-rising single to date. It made it into the Top 10 on the Country Airplay chart in just eight weeks. The song is written by Cole and other songwriters and one of those people is Thomas Rhett. JoDee’s song was obviously the biggest influence on the Cole’s song.
Cole said he has always wanted to work with JoDee, “I hope someday I get to sing it with her or do something. I want her to be involved because we wouldn’t have the song without the writers and without her making it what it is.”
Cole debuted a live version of the song during the CMA Fest Special on ABC, so you can watch that below.
Cole Swindell’s first seven songs went to #1 on the country charts. He also has written songs for Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan and Scotty McCreery. JoDee Messina is successful on the country music charts as she has celebrated six songs going #1. Her last song that went #1 was 2005’s “My Give A Damn Is Busted.”
