New Study Shows Just How Sweaty Tampa Bay Really Is

Summer is in full effect here and a new study shows how sweaty Tampa Bay really is!

MyDatingAdviser.com decided to dig deep into the perspiration levels of our nation. What they found out is that all hot places are not created equal. How sweaty a city really is depends more on humidity and population density than the temperature displayed on a thermometer.

Comparing 200 metro areas, MyDatingAdviser.com used three dimensions to get the statistics:

  1. Weather
  2. Sweat Factors
  3. Cooling Off

Within each of those dimensions, they used 12 metrics of of perspiration friendliness. You can see they really did some serious number crunching and weighting to determine how a sweaty city really is! It came as no shock to us that the Sunshine State was well represented! Wipe the sweat from your eyes because these are the Top 10 sweatiest cities in the U.S.:

  1. Orlando, Florida
  2. Corpus Christi, Texas
  3. Baton Rouge, Louisiana
  4. New Orleans, Louisiana
  5. Tallahassee, Florida
  6. Houston, Texas
  7. Montgomery, Alabama
  8. Cape Coral, Florida
  9. Laredo, Texas
  10. Jacksonville, Florida

Tampa was ranked #11. Of course to all of us living here, our antiperspirant is always working overtime to keep us from dripping sweat all over the place!

  • Clearwater Beach

    Clearwater Beach might be the very first beach you think of when you think of the Gulf Coast. That might be because been Trip Advisor’s No.1 Beach in the U.S.A. back in 2016, 2018, and 2019.

    There are also so many accessible restaurants nearby, which offer a lot of great happy hours.

  • St. Pete Beach

    Just south of Clearwater Beach is St. Pete Beach. St. Pete recently placed #5 on Trip Advisor’s list for best beaches in the world. Postcard Inn on the Beach, one of St. Pete’s most popular beach bars is a great place to grab a drink and even play some volleyball. More of a Bloody Mary person? You might want to check out Rick’s Reef and their Bloody Mary bar.

  • Indian Rocks Beach

    Indian Rocks Beach gives off much more of a local vibe. The traffic isn’t as bad as Clearwater Beach or St. Pete Beach gets, and they even have a Crabby Bill’s location.
