U.S. Special Operations Command Demonstration

Man rescued from Dunedin water tower. One minute he’s painting turtles, the next, officials are stopping traffic.

The artists named Tom Stovall was working on painting two giant turtles on the million gallon water tower when his equipment failed. He called the city of Dunedin for help. The tower is near the corner of Curlew and Bayshore Boulevard. Dunedin Fire and Rescue respond and blocked the intersection for a short time.

No one was injured, and the artist will continue his work when repairs are made to his failed pulley system.
