$180 Million for electric buses in Tampa Bay. Batteries Included.  TBARTA governing board has said yes to the dress. The Tampa Bay Regional Transit Authority wants to be all in on Electric buses in the year 2030. They scrapped the previous plan of Hybrid Diesel buses and decided to go all lean and green.

We’re talking Pasco County to Tampa to St. Petersburg with 11 charging stations along the way. The up front costs for electric vehicles – way more expensive. But, they estimate the annual environmental savings at $568,000 per bus every year. Think we’re talking about 22 buses, so you can do the math. ($12,496,000)

How long before the Cross Bay Ferry goes electric? They may be called Hovercrafts by then. LOL.
