Here’s just another reason to social distance! After preying on several victims in the Tampa Bay area, Clearwater Police have finally caught the “hugging bandit!”
Clearwater Police have identified 65-year-old Kathy Stevens as the suspect. She approach older men outside of stores, pretending that she knew them, and go in for a hug. While hugging, Stevens would steal the victim’s wallets and credit cards.
Stevens is now in the Pinellas County Jail and faces more than a dozen charges.
