The luck o’ the Irish was with the city of Tampa in Wallet Hub’s latest survey. They surveyed 200 of the largest cities in the U.S. to come up with a list of the best cities for St. Patrick’s Day celebrations. Wallet Hub crunched the numbers from 18 different metrics and came up with rankings in four different categories: St. Patrick’s Day traditions, costs, weather, and safety & accessibility. The Top 10 surprised us!

  1. Philadelphia
  2. Boston
  3. Pittsburgh
  4. Chicago
  5. San Francisco
  6. Reno
  7. Naperville, IL
  8. TAMPA
  9. Yonkers, NY
  10. Buffalo

The city of Tampa came in #8!!! Tampa beat out New York City which came in 11th. Did you know that Tampa tied New York City for number one for the most Irish bars and restaurants per capita? Neither did we! Orlando came in 19th and St, Petersburg was 47th overall.

If you’re looking to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Tampa with the River O’Green fest, remember it got pushed back to this Sunday March 13th because of the threat of severe weather on Saturday.
