Sunshine Skyway Closing
Sunshine Skyway closing early Sunday morning. Lace up your sneakers (or clogs) for run or walking the Big Bridge!
Runners and walkers will pound the pavement for the return of the annual Sunshine Skyway 10K race. The Northbound lanes will shut down at 3:30am. Last years race was virtual. So, not the same. Everyone’s excited about the return of a race that last year raised $134,000 for the Armed Forces Families Foundation. Money used for projects for military families, veterans, and their families.
The Skyway is schedule to open back up at 11:00AM. But, that’s only because I am not running. I’d need another hour or two. Just remind your (Sarasota etc. First Annual Waterfall Bank Couples Championship Triathlon is at Fort DeSoto Sunday morning also) friends to the south the Sunshine Skyway is closing for just a little bit Sunday morning. Unless, they run up!
