Tampa Police Searching For Well-Mannered Bank Robber
Tampa police searching for well-mannered bank robber. The man who robbed a bank in the Hyde Park area of Tampa reportedly apologized for his actions to the teller. Is this a sign of the times? How desperate must this poor guy be? Luckily no one was hurt.
City of Tampa police are looking for the man who robbed a Fifth Third Bank. He entered the bank, located at 1901 W. Swann Avenue in Tampa, a little before 10 a.m.
The man reportedly was wearing a mask and gloves. He used a note police said implied he had a weapon. In a Facebook post, the Tampa Police Department wrote that the suspect said “quickly fill it up, quick quick quick”. Before he left, the well-mannered bank robber said ‘God bless’ and then ‘Sorry’ as he fled the bank. He made off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The description of the robber is a 30 to 40-year-old Hispanic or light-skinned black male. He was wearing a blue/gray hoodie, tan pants, a covid mask “fishing buff” and red shoes. Tampa Police detectives ask that if you have information, contact Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477). (Case 22-68962)
