When you get your car registered at the Florida DMV you can choose from over 100 specialty license plates. You can support a cause, represent your favorite team, show off your alma mater, or just express the Florida vibe.

But what happens if you just don't find the right plate to put on your car? If you have the proper info, can you create your own Florida license plate? Who doesn't love that individual spirit!

Let's get hypothetical here. Say you use the proper plate number and put your registration sticker on your cool custom plate that looks just like what a driver in Europe would have on their car. Or your high schooler made a plate for you as a metal working project. Can you slap it on your car and be all good?

The answer is no.
