The theme park capital of the world just keeps getting bigger and better! Universal Orlando‘s newest theme park is set to open in 2025.

Universal’s corporate officials announced that their newest park, Epic Universe, should be ready to go in the summer of 2025. Construction has already started on the 750 acre site off Sand Lake Road. The main campus of Universal Orlando and Epic Universe will be a few miles apart but there will be free transportation provided so guests can go to the new park. Universal has given Orange County $160 million to expand Kirkman Road which will become the main route of traffic between the two parks.

From what has been released, there are four themed areas. The only one confirmed is Super Nintendo World. There are rumors that DreamWorks Animation and Illumination (makers of Despicable Me) will have their own themed areas.

When completed, Epic Universe will not only be the largest theme park in Florida, but in the entire U.S.
