Teachers and students will be able to ride PSTA buses for free in 2022 and this is because of the school bus driver shortage in Pinellas County.
Pinellas County leaders decided to come up with the free rides so that teachers and students have a ride to and from school and also to after school activities or even an after school job.
Teachers and students will be able to ride the PSTA buses for free starting January 1 using the “U” pass with their school ID’s.
Pinellas County is still actively searching for new bus drivers.
Once 2022 rolls around, students and teachers in Pinellas County can ride for free on all PSTA buses. https://t.co/zIVg3Ge0yk— FOX 13 Tampa Bay (@FOX13News) December 14, 2021
