This Florida Theme Park Is Changing The Way Guests Experience Rides
This Florida theme park is changing the way guests experience rides. They hope to have guests spending less time in line and more time enjoying the park.
Less time planning and waiting, more time experiencing rides and attractions. Sounds like a great plan! Walt Disney World is hoping this change will make it a reality.
Gone are FastPass, FastPass+ and MaxPass reservation systems. They are being replaced by Disney Genie, a free planning tool.
“Disney Genie will personalize their Disney day, allowing guests to spend less time planning and waiting and more time doing the things they love,” Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, said in a statement.
The new tool will let guests at the park join virtual queues but it does not give them access to shorter lines. If you want that, you have to use Disney Genie+ and Lightning Lanes which cost extra.
The Disney Genie is part of the My Disney Experience mobile app. “Just tell Disney Genie what you want to do and it will do the planning for you,” a Disney Park press release said, noting that the tool aims to “take the guesswork out of ‘what’s next.'”
Hey, we’re all about less time waiting in the Florida heat and more time on the rides!
