The Tampa Bay Rays were well represented at the Major League Baseball All-Star Game in Denver. Kevin Cash and his staff were the coaching staff for the American League and the reason why is because the Rays made the World Series last year. Rays players in the game were Mike Zunino, Joey Wendle and Andrew Kittredge whom were all making their first All-Star Game appearance. The American League won the All-Star Game 5-2 over the National League.
Zunino hit a 433-foot home run in the sixth inning of the game off of the Mets’ Taijuan Walker. Kittredge pitched a perfect 7th inning and Wendle made a great play in that same inning. Wendle got a single in his only plate appearance.
