(Photo by Julio Aguilar/Getty Images)It is now confirmed that the Tampa Bay Lightning Victory Boat Parade will be next week. We are getting spoiled with these championship parades. At least we will have a couple of days to recover from the exhilaration of winning the Stanley Cup at Amalie Arena.
The City of Tampa and the Tampa Bay Lightning just confirmed plans for the Victory Boat Parade along the Tampa Riverwalk at 11am Monday (July 12). Boaters: take note that NHL.com says outside boats will NOT be allowed to take part in the parade. Fans can only watch on land.
The boat parade will be followed by a Champions Celebration at Julian B. Lane Riverfont Park at 2pm. It will not be at Raymond James Stadium like last year. There will be live performances from Vo Williams and Big Boi. Coolers and chairs will not be permitted. They are encouraging fans to use rideshare services like Uber and Lyft or to use public transportation. If you'd rather avoid the big crowds they're expecting, you'll be able to watch coverage on Bally Sports Sun.
This will be Tampa Bay's third championship boat parade in less than a year! We have cemented our name as Champa Bay!
