Trisha Yearwood was feeling nostalgic as the 30th anniversary of her debut single "She's In Love With The Boy" came around, and she decided to do a new acoustic version of the song.

She's including it on her album, Every Girl, for its deluxe edition, coming August 13.

Trisha said, “I think no matter what age you are, you can find yourself in ‘She’s In Love With the Boy.’ It’s timeless!”

She added of the story of Katie and Tommy from the song, “From the beginning of time there’s always been disapproval. There’s always been somebody to go, ‘Hey, wait a minute – remember when we were young and your parents didn’t approve? It worked out.' Just give these guys a break. It’s a timeless message.”

When it was first released, “She’s In Love With the Boy” made Trisha the first female artist ever to have a debut single hit #1 on the country charts. Her self-titled debut album featuring the song was released 30 years ago (7/2).
