Reports are in, the Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to take Tim Tebow seriously. They plan to sign him to a 1-year deal as their newest tight end.
IT’S TIM TEBOW TEBOW TIME!.. Well, maybe…
According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Jaguars are serious about Tim Tebow’s return to the NFL in Jacksonville. Ian also says that the deal is set to be completed “in the next week or so.”
The #Jaguars are planning to sign QB-turned-TE Tim Tebow to a 1-year deal, per me and @TomPelissero, a deal that could be official in the next week or so. Nothing done yet. But he’ll have a chance to make the team to reunite with his mentor and college head coach Urban Meyer.— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) May 10, 2021
From killing it in college as a quarterback at the University of Florida, to being a 1st round pick for the Denver Broncos, his football career did not really do so well. He jumped around to a few more NFL team rosters, to then getting into baseball and retiring from that in February. Now he sees an opportunity to return to the sport that put him on the map with his former Gators coach. 2020-21 has definitely been a year (or two) for the history books.
