When the weather is right in downtown St. Pete, the outdoor eating thing can be really cool. All I need is a little shade, please? I thought so too. Even in a parking space.
So the Governor’s order this week suspends emergency coronavirus restrictions. The outdoor tables (some in parking spaces) will go back inside, right? Well, yes, and then, no. And finally, maybe. There was a new revised update on outdoor seating that will extend parking lot tables downtown for another week.
The “powers that be” say they need time to figure out how to keep the popular tables out where people like them. Might need to revise some city codes, and that could take a while. Looks like about 44% of Pinellas County is vaccinated according to the Mayor. They want 70% for herd immunity. I just want a nice table outside, please?
