Just for fun, next time you’re in a small group of people with no one using their phone, check your phone. Yea, and then watch to see how many in the group “also check their phone” too. They say it’s like yawning, the chameleon effect sets in. They gotta’ do it! And it will make you laugh.
This new study from a new scientist found that if you check your phone, about t half the people near you will do the same within 30 seconds. Funny, and amazing. Has something to do with us needing to follow along as human beings. They say it’s automatic and subconscious. Other simple movements and actions can be copied too. Including facial movement, hand gestures, shaking your foot, and yes, yawning. Somehow it brings us all closer together. We’re all copycats.
So, check your phone. and, maybe, call me.
