Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and the Seminole Tribe of Florida reached a deal to legalize sports gambling in Florida. Fans will be able to place bets at pro stadiums and casinos and the Seminole Tribe will offer online sports betting. The new deal is expected to create a $2.5 billion revenue-sharing guarantee in the first five years. This will grow to $6 billion in new revenues for Florida through 2030.

Sports betting will also be allowed at existing tracks, poker, and wager rooms across Florida and the profits will be split between the Seminole Tribe and other operators.

Lawmakers still need to approve the deal and will host a special session on May 17th to do so.
