Too Much Toilet Paper In American Homes. Wait. What?
We could see this one coming from a “toilet paper roll” away! When was the last time you stood in line for toilet paper? You’re not the only one. Looks like we all stocked up so much, we now have a TP Surplus. Oh Krap!
Toilet paper sales were down over 4% in January from a year ago. Last year Americans spent $11 Billion Dollars on toilet paper. That’s $2 Billion more than the average year. Oooops. Most people felt they never knew where or when they would find TP, so most just bought some “every time” they went to almost any store.
Now, Manufacturers like P&G and Kimberly-Clark Corp., they make Cottonelle and Scott toilet paper, haven’t said if they need to adjusted toilet-paper manufacturing as sales “roll off”. (see what I did there)
Maybe now instead of a 1 PACK LIMIT PER CUSTOMER, stores will make us buy 2 OR MORE PER CUSTOMER, PLEASE?
