The Strawberry Festival opens Thursday. No big shows, but plenty of big fun and big food. Haaaa. The Festival runs through March 14 with a midway, animal shows, eating contests, racing pigs, a magic show and other local entertainment on the festival grounds. We’re givin away tickets this week. HERE for “how to win” contest info.
Sunday, the Henry B. Plant Museum in Tampa will highlight their Victorian roots with an old-fashioned family picnic with live music, the museum and more.
On Saturday the Grand Concourse Railroad puts on a breakfast of all-you-can-eat pancakes and unlimited rides on its miniature trains. “Gonna need more syrup over here!”
And, you know that huge volcano you can see from I-4? Waterslides + pools = Fun for kids of all ages. (Yes, I mean me too. Don’t judge) Universal’s Volcano Bay cranked opened for the season last week. They’re limiting capacity. Reservations will not be required. But they do fill up fast. Go early. Don’t be squirrely.
