I don’t get rich people.  Tim McGraw & Faith Hill spent years turning their barren private island in the Bahamas into a paradise featuring a spectacular mansion, airstrip, and private dock. . . and now they’re selling the whole damn island.  The asking price is $35 million.  Spread the word. Are you ready to see your “fixer-upper” ?

There’s also an interesting story on what it took to build everything. When they bought the island there were just a few thatched-roof buildings and a lot of bare land.  That’s it.  And since it’s a private island, there’s no city to provide facilities like water and electricity.  They had to come up with all of that.

Faith said, quote, “We set out to build a house.  We had no idea we had to [construct] everything else.  We basically had to build a little town.”  They even had to build houses for the staff to live in while they were doing construction. Obviously, they’re thrilled with the finished product.  Tim says, quote, “Every time we go there.  Every time we land the plane and walk onto the beach and head up to the house, we turn to each other and say, ‘This is the best place in the world.'” For $35 mil it could be yours!
