Today is a sad day in Tampa as a former Tampa Bay Buccaneer was found dead.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of Vincent Jackson, 38. He was found today, Monday, February 15th, at the Homewood Suites in Brandon. According to ABC Action News, he has been staying at the hotel since mid-January. His family reported him missing on February 10th but after deputies spoke with him for a wellness check, the missing person case was cancelled. Just four days later he was found unresponsive by housekeeping. No more information has been shared, this is an active investigation.
My heart goes out to his family and friends during this hard time. I cannot imagine what they are going through.
According to hotel staff, Jackson, who is a South Tampa resident, checked into the hotel on January 11, & had been staying in a room since that date.— HCSO (@HCSOSheriff) February 15, 2021
