Taco Bell shared some great news for its vegetarian customers: It’s bringing back its potatoes!

In a press release, the fast-food giant said, “After a brief hiatus from menus due to Taco Bell’s menu simplification efforts last year, Cheesy Fiesta Potatoes and the Spicy Potato Soft Taco will be back starting March 11.”

Taco Bell also announced it will be teaming up with Beyond Meat “…to create an innovative new plant-based protein that will be tested in the next year. ”

In a statement, Taco Bell’s Global Chief Food Innovation Officer Liz Matthews said, “The return of our beloved potatoes is just the first step in showing our fans the strong continued commitment to vegetarian we are making this year. We have long been a leader in the vegetarian space, but this year, we have more meatless options in store that vegetarians, veggie-curious and even meat-eaters will love.”

Back in July, Taco Bell announced it was “revamping” its menu which saw their potato items get the ax along with a number of other items including the Grilled Steak Soft Taco, the 7-Layer Burrito, Nachos Supreme, Beefy Fritos Burrito®, Spicy Tostada, Triple Layer Nachos, Loaded Grillers (Cheesy Potato, Beefy Nacho), Chips & Dips and the Mini Skillet Bowl. So far, there’s no word on whether these other items will be returning to the menu in the future.
