Will The Lightning Unveil Their Stanley Cup Banner In An Empty Arena?
The Tampa Bay Lightning won the 2019-2020 Stanley Cup beating the Dallas Stars 4 games to 2. They had planned on having some fans at their home games, but Amalie Arena is not allowing fans because of rising coronavirus numbers in the Tampa Bay area. So, will the banner for the Bolts Stanley Cup win be unveiled at their home opener? Yes, it will be unveiled at the home opener in front of no fans. The pregame ceremony will be broadcast live on NBCSN before their home opener against the Chicago Blackhawks.
The Bolts are putting seven replica banners up around Tampa Bay, so the fans can celebrate the unveiling of the banner until they are allowed back inside Amalie Arena to see the real thing. Here are the locations: the Pier in St. Petersburg, the Clearwater Aquarium, Tampa General Hospital, Armature Works in Tampa, the Tampa Firehouse, Riverwalk and Kiley Gardens in Tampa and AdventHealth in Wesley Chapel.
The Lightning also plan to unveil replica Stanley Cup championship banners throughout Tampa Bay on Wednesday. #GoBoltshttps://t.co/9HcbPrKRXD
