Tampa Bay’s Hometown Morning Krewe

Weekdays 6:00AM - 10:00AM

Well…maybe this is why Rascal Flatts decided to call it quits.  Jay is already in a new band!

Jay has a new job.  He’s performing with the supergroup The Rise Above, which includes former members of Journey and Chicago.

The group includes Deen Castronovo and Jason Sheff, formerly of Journey and Chicago. Chris Rodriguez and Tom Yankton.

They’re doing a show this Wednesday at Nashville’s Marathon Music Works.

Someone got a look at the set list and it looks like the band will sing familiar like Rascal Flatts classics:  “These Days,” “Bless the Broken Road,” “What Hurts the Most” and “Life is a Highway.”

Additionally, fans will be able to sing along to plenty of their favorite Journey and Chicago songs, including “Don’t Stop Believin’,” “Any Way You Want It,” “Stay the Night” and “Will You Still Love Me.”

The Rise Above’s mission is to bring back the glitz and glamor of ‘80s rock to life, and they’ve been in the studio cooking up an album for release next year.
