Dolly Parton Prays For ‘Critical’ Mac Davis
Dolly Parton is a longtime friend of singer/ songwriter and actor Mac Davis who is in critical condition in a Nashville area hospital after a recent heart surgery. David wrote some of Elvis Presley’s hits, including “In The Ghetto” and “A Little Less Conversation.”
Parton posted Mac’s Instagram on her stories asking fans and friends to pray for him.
Davis’ Instagram post yesterday (9/28) read, “We are sorry to report that legendary singer/songwriter Mac Davis is critically ill following heart surgery in Nashville. Your love and prayers will be deeply appreciated at this time. #PrayForMacDavis – Thank you, The Davis Family.”

Dolly and Mac have collaborated ten over the years. In 1989, they sang a duet on Parton’s White Limousine album called “Wait Till I Get You Home.”
Mac appeared in the 1980’s on the Dolly Show’s Christmas episode.
