Coronavirus Information Center

A short time ago in St. Petersburg, Governor Ron DeSantis announced that he’s issuing the order to let restaurants operate at 50% regardless of local city guidelines, according to Channel 8. He says the order takes effect immediately. Phase 2 began back in early June where restaurants could open at half capacity. The difference with phase 3 is that restaurants can operate at full capacity. Local cities and towns would have to give justification for any rules restricting operation at below 50%. Under this new order, restaurants will not have to pay any fines or risk being closed down for breaking local rules about mask requirements. This also means places like bowling alleys, movie theaters, concert venues, gyms, theme parks and other retail shops can open. [Source: Channel 8]
