Weekdays 3p-7p

Our Tampa Bay Lightning are making us proud in Canada. Last night they won Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Islanders and are advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals. They played an awesome series but some think they might have lost their chance at winning the Stanley Cup. It’s not because of how they played, it’s from what they did after the last goal was scored. Since they won the NHL Eastern Conference Final the team is awarded the Prince of Wales trophy. There is a superstition that if you touch the trophy you won’t win the the Stanley Cup. I’m not a big believer in superstitions and NO, I do not think this is true. I think they deserve that trophy and should be able to touch it as much as they’d like. We don’t play by those “rules” here. Also, Ovechkin touched the trophy last year and they ended up winning it all in 2019. To win the next and final series against the Dallas Stars, our Bolts just need to bring their A-game. The first game is tomorrow (Saturday, September 19th) at 7:30pm.

The best part about last night, was when they accepted the trophy and Stamkos made an appearance. Check out the video below:
