The National Hurricane Center’s 11 a.m. advisory currently shows Florida in the projected forecast cone of Tropical Depression 13.

The storm formed overnight in the mid-Atlantic and is expected to develop into Tropical Storm Laura by tonight, according to the NHC.

ABC Action News Chief Meteorologist Denis Phillips says the track and intensity of the storm are likely to change several times over the next three to four days.

Another Tropical Depression, number 14, also formed over the Caribbean Sea and is expected to develop into a tropical storm today.
