New Research Says, Owning a Dog Is Good for You
According to new research, owning a dog is good for you both physically and mentally.
Scientific Reports say that owning a dog can reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease due to physical activity while walking a dog.
In addition, having a dog around can help prevent depression by increasing levels of neurochemicals in the brain linked to bonding and positivity.
During the lock-down due to the pandemic, many are reaping the benefits of turning to a man’s best friend during these difficult times.
I’ve always had a dog, or two and I can’t imagine my life without them. I walk my dog twice a day and sometimes that’s the only exercise I get….if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t leave the house…he gets me up and going.
Just know there is so much responsibility with owning a dog…your life will change…but for the better!
And of course, I always recommend going to a rescue place – You’re not rescuing the dog…it’s rescuing you!
Just know you’re gonna have a lot of dog hair on your bed, because you will end up letting him sleep in your bed.
