Mitchell Tenpenny’s Mini Concert was a perfect way to start the weekend! He performed Alcohol You Later and Drunk Me while sharing about his new home and music on the way!
Mitchell and his girlfriend Meghan bought a house recently, so they’ve been spending a lot of time on the new home, but that hasn’t stopped him from working in the studio. “We can’t wait to get back on the road, but right now, it’s mainly just hanging out, having a few drinks, watching a lot of Netflix, and writing some songs.”
Alcohol You Later came from Mitchell overhearing a guy at a bar with a southern accent say, “Alright buddy, I’ll call you later.” “That moment, I wrote it down in my cell phone and I said I gotta write this song.”
“Just want to say cheers everybody, God bless, and we’ll get through this together.”
Drunk Me was a very real song for Mitchell, “I wanted to write a song about someone that was dealing with a breakup and how to actually stand a chance of getting over them.”
