More than 1,900 new COVID-19 cases were reported by the Florida Department of Health on Friday, June 12th.
This is the highest single-day number of positive cases since the state started tracking numbers during the pandemic. This comes only one day after the state hit a new-single day record on Thursday.
Tampa Bay officials also say COVID-19 cases are increasing among millennials.

As of Friday (6/12) at noon, there are 3,295 total reported cases in Hillsborough and 1,941 total reported cases in Pinellas.
