Chickens May Be Allowed In Back Yards In Parts Of Hillsborough County
Hillsborough County commissioners set public hearings on a proposed ordinance in unincorporated areas of the county that will allow back yard chickens. The ordinance would allow hens only and only 5 of those can be kept at a single-family home or two-family duplex. The chickens would have to be confined to a fully enclosed coop at all times.
The public hearings will be on July 23 and September 24.
