Weekdays 3p-7p

Live PD made our local deputies in Pasco County famous a few years back. How’d you like to someday work the crew you saw on the show? The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an intensive summer camp to give students a chance to check out what it’s really like to work in the criminal justice system. The 2020 Forensic Summer Camp students will take part in “forensic laboratory exercises” to learn how investigators do their work. They’ll even get to work with drones and the PCSO’s famous K9s. The program teaches how to differentiate human from nonhuman bones, how K9s to locate a buried body, and techniques used to recreate a crime scene.

Students must live in Pasco County and be between the ages of 15 and 18. Better hurry, there are only 24 slots available. Interested teens must write a 500-word essay explaining why this is something they want to participate in the program. The application deadline is May 30th. The camp runs from July 20-July 24 and costs $750. That includes lunch and snacks. For more information, call (713) 733-1520 or email Coordinator Austin Polonitza at Apply by visiting
