Tom Brady has rented out Derek Jeter’s Davis Islands home and now Tom has been seen at a Tampa park. Tampa Mayor, Jane Castor, was having a virtual news conference with St. Pete Mayor, Rick Kreiseman, when she told the story about Tom Brady. Brady was spotted at a city park and told to leave by a Tampa Parks and Recreation staffer.
Castor said, “But you know our parks are closed down so a lot of our parks staff, they patrol around just to make sure people aren’t doing contact sports and things and saw an individual working out in one of our downtown parks. And she went over to tell him that it was closed and it was Tom Brady.” ‘Oh my goodness,” Kriseman replied. “There you go. He has been ‘cited’.”
So was Tom cited for being in the park? Greg Auman of The Athletic tweeted that Mayor Castor meant ‘sighted’ not ‘cited’. He tweeted, “Just to clarify one point from the Tom Brady/city parks story today. Mayor Jane Castor didn’t mean to suggest that Brady was issued a citation for working out in a city park — “he has been sighted,” like seen and not cited was the intent, per City of Tampa spokesperson.”
