Luke Combs Covers Chris Stapleton on Tim McGraw’s ‘Deep Cuts Challenge’
Tim McGraw started the “Deep Cuts Challenge,” where an artist sings a song that they love (and which wasn’t a hit) and posts the performance to Instagram. McGraw started it off by covering John Schneider’s 1986 jam Ā “Take The Long Way Home” and then tagged some of his fellow country artists to do the same.
Luke Combs was up to the challenge and he posted yesterday to Instagram.
Luke posted, “A few nights ago @morganwallen challenged me to the #DeepCutsChallenge. I decided to do ‘Whatāre You Listening To’ by @chrisstapleton. This may not technically be a deep cut but itās a song that didnāt get as much credit as I think it deserved. Chris, Iām sorry I messed up the bridge, donāt hate me. Hope yāall enjoy and I want to challenge @vincegillofficial to lay one down.”
McGraw’s original posted said, “Who’s got cool songs they’ve always loved to play when theyāre sitting around the house or when u were in high school or college?
