Little Big Town’s Kimberly Believes Daughter Was A Gift From First Husband In Heaven

Little Big Town’s Kimberly Schlapman lost her first husband Steven Roads to a heart attack in 2005. As Kimberly told People, the couple were unable to conceive a child.

But when Kimberly married her second and current husband Stephen Schlapman to her surprise — she got pregnant with their now 12-year-old daughter Daisy.

She told People, ā€œIn my previous marriage, I had tried so hard to have a baby, so there was already, I donā€™t want to say skepticism, but I was already pretty sure I wasnā€™t going to be able to conceive a child. When we got pregnant on our honeymoon, it was just the most incredible gift. I believe that my first husband, who was in heaven, I believe he begged God, ā€˜Letā€™s give her what sheā€™s always wanted for a wedding gift.ā€™ ā€

She added, ā€œI believe that with all my heart, and so I got pregnant on my honeymoon. I know that was his wedding gift from heaven to me. I am 100 percent sure.ā€

In other news, Schlapman posted to Instagram about a new project that she’s working on. “In the midst of all of this uncertainty, I want to share some happy news with yā€™all. Iā€™ve written a childrenā€™s book coming out later this fall. Itā€™s called A Dolly for Christmas.ā€

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
