Thousands of pounds of food was left over from Super Bowl LIV
I guess there were a few left overs from Miami’s big party!
ESPN reported that there was sooo much left over from the big game between the Kansas City Chief and the San Francisco 49ers, but it all went to a good cause!
Volunteers started shipping the food on Monday from the Hard Rock Stadium to five different food shelters in Florida: Miami Rescue Mission, Broward Outreach Center, Broward Partnership for the Homeless, Lotus House Shelter and Camillus House.
Some of the food collected includes beef tenderloins, barbecue chicken, wings, and ribs
They say it is expected to feed almost 20,000 people!
What a great story! So glad we didn’t hear about this food going to waste!
