A town in Illinois will ban pet stores from buying animals from puppy mills.

Naperville, IL is banning commercial breeders from selling dogs and cats.

The suburb’s new ordinance goes into effect Jan. 1, 2021 and pet stores will no longer be allowed to buy from puppy mills.  Yeah!

I love this story.  I found it at WKRG.com

The decision was years in the making and finally came after dozens of people pushed for an ordinance that prevents Naperville stores from selling pets from puppy mills.

Not all breeders are bad.  We all know that.  But there are waaaay too many people abusing animals and making them pump out puppies to simply profit from it and they need to be shut down.

Everyday I open up the news and see another dog being abused and I can’t take it.  Too many dogs and not enough people who want them.

Having a dog is a LOT of work.   My dog is my life.  My day is scheduled around my dog.  I can’t do a lo too things because of my dog sometimes….because I won’t leave him alone that long.

Please…. if you are thinking of getting an animal, like a dog, go to a rescue place.  There are so many in the Tampa Bay area.

In Tampa, I know they banned any new puppy stores from opening in Hillsborough county…but ones that are up and running are still able to get their dogs from where-ever.
