Florida Is #1 For Population Growth

A lot of people are moving to Florida and the state has become the #1 state for population growth.  Florida overtook Texas for the first time in four years.  Florida had been #2 from 2016-2018. The data has been compiled by U-Haul and their “Growth State” data is calculated by the net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks entering a state versus leaving that state during a calendar year. “Florida has been showing signs of growth for a decade,” said Miguel Caminos, U-Haul Company of Orlando president. “Central Florida is really booming. I can’t think of any major suburb where there aren’t home developments or new shopping centers being built.”

Kevin is a member of Tampa Bay‘s Hometown Morning Krewe on 995 QYK. He has been with the station for 25 years, is a Tampa native, and went to Jesuit High School and USF. Go Bulls!. He is passionate about all things Tampa Bay.
