Uber Offering A Code To Help Ensure Rider Safety
Uber is going to offer riders a four-digit code to help riders identify and get into the correct car. This will be available in United States and Canada and the feature will be rolled out by the end of this week. Uber will send a four-digit code to the rider then before getting into the car the rider tells the driver the code and the driver enters the code into the app. When both numbers are matched the rider will be notified that the ride is verified. “They can see the confirmation before getting into the vehicle and they don’t have to take the driver’s word for it,” said Rebecca Payne, senior product manager at Uber.
