Mail services are both closed and open. The U.S. Postal Service won’t be delivering mail on Monday and post offices will be closed. However, UPS and FedEx continue to deliver and pickup packages on Veterans Day, though some of their locations may be closed.
Local, state and federal courts are closed.
All non-essential federal government offices are closed.
Garbage and recycling services are usually moved to another day of the week if they fall on Veterans Day but check with your local offices.
Libraries are typically closed, but check with your local branch.
National Parks are open and are even waiving entrance fees for the day.
Retail locations like restaurants, shopping centers, department stores and grocery stories are typically open on Veterans Day.
