Reba McEntire accepted the CMT Artist of a Lifetime Award last night (10/16) in Nashville and after hearing the emotional speeches by Kane Brown and Thomas Rhett who prayed for Brown on stage after his drummer was killed in a car crash recently, Reba was proud of the "youngsters" as she called them.

She said in her speech, "And that’s what this business is all about. The people we get to learn from but get to know. I’m very blessed to have so many friends. And I thank God — and Thomas Rhett, God bless you for praying in front — you’re special. You’re special. That took guts. You said it might not be aired but He knows. It better be aired. Better make the cut, 'cause that's what we need in this life, a little more God. "

Reba also thanked the many people who have been with her throughout her career in Nashville saying, "I can say I’ve been in this business for 43 years. I’ve loved every — no, almost every minute of it. I appreciate the lessons, the patience — not everybody was patient with me, but the ones who were, I appreciate that very much."
