The Bucs World Tour continues and they have a (home) game on Sunday in London against the Panthers. This is their third straight (road) game and they will have a bye week next week before playing two more road games. The Bucs are 2 and 3, but this almost seems like a must win game. Here are three things to look forward to for this 9:30am start on Sunday morning.
1 – The Bucs secondary. They have been the weak spot for the Bucs this season and last week they were torched by Teddy Bridgewater and Michael Thomas. Defensive coordinator, Todd Bowles, needs to try different things to help out the secondary as much as possible. The defensive front has done their job, but the secondary has been really poor this season.
2 – Kyle Allen. The Bucs face another backup quarterback this week because Cam Newton is still injured. So, what has Kyle Allen done in his three starts? He’s won all three on them!! He’s thrown for 674 yards, 5 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. The Bucs have to stop another backup quarterback, so the secondary has to be able to limit Allen from throwing the ball downfield.
3 – Christian McCaffrey – In the Bucs week 2 win over the Panthers the Bucs defense held McCaffrey to only 37 rushing yards and only 53 total yards. This absolutely has to happen again to give the Bucs a chance. If McCaffrey has a big game the Bucs will most likely lose.
I haven’t mentioned the Bucs offense and obviously they need to play well for the Bucs to win the game, but the defense needs to get better for the Bucs to win this game and win more games down the road.
